CACI is currently looking for candidates to join our TSA IT Management, Performance Analysis, and Collaborative Technologies (IMPACT) team in the Washington D.C. area and throughout the country.
The IT support services under IMPACT will provide TSA with comprehensive IT services across a broad spectrum of evolving technologies. Services include: servers, desktop/mobile and enterprise applications, environments for application development and testing, system applications, local and wide area networks, data hosting centers, operational support centers, customer support services, desktop services, collaboration services, telecommunications, data analytics, and information security.
IMPACT will provide TSA with operational IT services necessary for TSA users of unclassified and classified voice, video, and data systems. In addition, IMPACT will provide support for connectivity and interface with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other internal and external partner agencies and entities for their overall mission achievement.
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides configuration management planning. Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits. Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and related documentation. Responsible for configuration change control. Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software. Responsible for configuration status accounting. Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and reports changes and current configuration. Responsible for configuration audits. Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met. Supports the quality assurance process audits.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Asset manager requires extensive experience gathering detailed hardware and software inventory information to develop and maintain an effective asset management program. The Asset manager will oversee a team of 2-3 asset specialists, supporting activities to manage TSA's information technology (IT) assets, navigating procedural and policy boundaries to conduct on-site inventory of assets across the enterprise, identifying and removing obstacles to the completion of asset inventories and following established procedures for the decommissioning of IT assets. The asset manager will work closely with the customer to ensure asset and configuration database accuracy and accountability.
Develop and maintain processes for managing and tracking the full information technology (IT) asset, license, and maintenance life cycle, from procurement to retirement
Responsible for all Asset related SLAs including the maintenance and execution of monthly audits of government furnished equipment
Work directly with the Government to maintain a seamless transition from equipment procurement, to the delivery of assets, to the disposal of end of life items
Maintain the accuracy of Configuration Items (CIs) in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Asset Management Database (Sunflower).
Supervise team of asset specialists to ensure the tracking and maintaining an accurate inventory of assets throughout their life cycle
Audit, validate, and reconcile software licenses against the installed asset base
Establish procedures to regularly review and validate the asset database
Work closely with the Government to ensure policy compliance and asset maintenance
Identify opportunities to fully utilize unused or partially used IT hardware and software assets
Define metrics, collecting data, and reporting on the effectiveness of IT asset management processes
Research licensing models, product use rights, as well as licensing metrics and entitlements for vendor-published desktop software assets
Prior experience with Sunflower Enterprise Asset Management suite and BMC 8.1 Remedy is highly valued.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Must have an Associates Degree and/or 5-15 YRS of experience (typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 2 to 4 years of related experience)
Six (6)+ years of configuration analysis and asset management experience
Three (3)+ years of leadership experience
Must be able to obtain Secret clearance.
