CACI Enterprise IT Operations has an opportunity for an experienced Configuration Management Specialist to support the performance of the Program Management Office of a large and complex IT enterprise program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As the program's Configuration Management (CM) Specialist some of your duties are outlined below:
-Coordinate CM service across the enterprise with other CM specialists, refresh teams, and support teams that collect, store, update, analyze, and report on configuration items (CIs) utilizing ServiceNow.
-Support physical inventory of assets.
-Develop hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures and ensures that they are followed on hardware and software development projects.
-Serve as an advisor to Government Change Control Board (CCB).
-Maintain strict IT configuration control over the contract life to include policies, procedures, and hardware/software.
-Design and establish management documentation.
-Provide advice and guidance on methods, procedures, and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation.
-Design and seek agreement on the scope of the entire CM processes, including identifying and documenting the items to be controlled and the information to be captured and recorded.
-Ensure the proper baseline identification of configuration items, perform periodic audits, and provide verification of version release configuration items.
-Develop and maintain CM process standards, plans, and procedures.
-Ensure changes to the process methods and processes are properly approved, communicated and managed throughout the CM process.
-Track all problems and changes in product documents and reports changes and current configuration.
Education and Experience:
- Typically requires Bachelor's degree and 5 to 7 years of experience.
- Must have experience with large scale enterprise IT contracts
- ITIL certified
- Experience or training in the use of CM tools
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
