CACI Enterprise IT Operations has an opportunity for an experienced AVMM Engineer to support the performance of a large and complex IT enterprise program.
Responsibilities AND DUTIES:
As the program's AVMM Engineer -“ Senior you will be working as directed by the AVMM Lead with some of your duties outlined below:
-You will evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, and perform problem isolation and resolution, monitor, tune, and set standards for AVMM and related networks.
-Maintain a complex range of AVMM and computer network components and systems.
-Provide team leadership to less experienced AVMM engineers and technicians.
-Work with other network professionals as directed or as needed to coordinate efforts, resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes.
-Identify, assess, and develop detailed requirements for upgrading AVMM networks as well as re-architecting network segments in order to facilitate new requirements, technologies and growth.
-Provide client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the AVMM network facilities.
-Plan and lead AVMM network initiatives.
-Research, evaluate, and recommend new AVMM network equipment and technologies.
-Analyze current products and recommends changes/upgrades to senior management.
-Collaborate with other technical staff and management in the testing of new software and network technologies.
-Maintain timely and complete documentation of all daily and project work, using standard methods and procedures.
-Devise solutions to complex operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment.
-Develop and execute contingency plans for AVMM network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages.
-Keep abreast of relevant technologies and maintain selected technical certifications.
-Communicate effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences, including customers, vendors, team partners, and other staff members.
Education and Experience:
-Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related discipline and 7 to 9 years of experience.
- IT ticket management system experience; preferably with ServiceNow.
- Must have experience with large scale enterprise IT contracts.
- CompTIA Security + certified
- ServiceNow certification
- Crestron/Extron certifications
- Experience with IT customers within the Department of Defense
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
