CACI is looking for an experienced Logistics Professional with strong logistics, leadership and communication skills to support a DoD Foreign Military Sales program in the Washington DC metro area. The program provides life cycle maintenance, logistics support, and modernization of foreign military weapon systems and hull, mechanical, and electrical equipment. The position will be the Logistics advisor to the PM and the Program Manager for all aspects of Logistics Support Planning and Execution
The primary role of the Logistics Program Manager is to provide logistics expertise, advice and leadership for the modernization and maintenance of former USN, USCG and foreign naval vessels.
Responsible for (1) Equipment provisioning and allowance modeling to support preventative (planned), corrective (unplanned), and alterative (e.g. SHIPALTs, MACHALTs, etc) maintenance; (2) Sourcing of material from commercial and federal sectors. (3) Development and maintenance of ship configuration baselines and equipment/systems top-down breakdown/hierarchical relationships; (4) Marine engineering system functionality, components, and associated Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements to support planned/unplanned maintenance;
Duties and responsibilities include:
Oversight and supervision of professional and technical personnel.
Oversight of all aspects of running a logistics warehouse(s) including receiving / storage/ shipping of material and the employees associated with it.
Responsibility for conducting shipboard equipment validations and ILS Support/shipboard inventories, developing storeroom mock-ups, layout, and supporting material on-loads and off-loads.
Responsibility for identification and sourcing material from commercial and federal sources
Responsibility for material order submission, tracking, and expediting using DoD and Navy MILSTRIP requisition transactions.
Responsibility for material shipping, monitoring, tracing, and tracking using both commercial sources and the DTS for CONUS and OCONUS delivery.
Providing subject matter expertise and leadership to project analyses and process improvement activities.
Providing matrix Logistics support to all country managers.
Responsibility for driving recommendations through to implementation.
Communicating effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences. Coordinating training to foreign customers on all aspects of life cycle management and integrated logistics support
Responsibility for assisting in the employment, training, coaching, mentoring, motivation, discipline and performance evaluation of assigned employees. Development of subcontractor task orders and oversight for performance of subcontractor work.
Bachelor's degree with minimum of 9 years of logistics experience including 3 years of experience in Navy Project Management involving all aspects of the Logistics Support Planning and Execution on surface combatant programs and 6 years of experience in the logistics planning and execution activities supporting a program / project office (i.e. -“ NAVSEA, NSWC, planning yards, -¦) to include at least 1 year of experience in 4 or more of the following ILS elements: maintenance planning and test equipment, technical documentation, supply support, computer resources, facilities, manpower and personnel, packaging / handling / transportation and training. Maintenance planning is preferred as one of the four elements. Secret Clearance must be obtainable.
Desired: Experience with foreign military sales logistics support.
