This position involves work with different aspects of the Veterans Affairs Enterprise Architecture (VA EA), including tasks such as:
- Assisting in the capture and entry of enterprise business content into the VEAR, including business functions models and business process models (BPMs)
- Capturing data using Business Process Modeling Notation v2 (BPMNv2)
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cost Accounting, or related scientific or technical discipline. 5 years of experience. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Typically requires a BA/BS degree and 5-7 years of applicable experience.
A Process Modeler must have experience in the creation and building of application models for business operation processes. A process modeler must be able to translate specified modeling requirements to realizations using modeling tools, sub-system simulation using boundary conditions, and closed loop control methods. Must be able to integrate the process models with sub-system control code to generate real time simulation. Must also be able to document model configuration & model validation, principles of operation, and application guidelines.
