As a company recognized expert, creates and modifies programs to certify system changes. Develops test control databases. Maintains test databases and ensures their integrity and currency. Distributes test data from control database to development staff to satisfy adequate unit testing. Prepares and maintains system request task status. Maintains and controls the flow of department copies of system requests or problem logs. May perform significant program changes or develop programs as required.
Develops detailed procedures for monitoring and auditing assigned process areas to ensure conformance to process specifications, database specifications, material standards, and engineering drawings and manuals. Investigates discrepant conditions and initiates appropriate corrective action. Works to resolve issues, questions and concerns. Reports findings of audits and investigations to correct deficiencies, improve quality of internal operations, and facilitate service to other activities. Develops plans for time-phased quality assurance life cycle functions. Establishes criteria and general operating procedures have been developed covering the nature and scope of quality assurance activities to be accomplished. Examines planning information including specifications, quality control procedures, and fabrication records to insure that specified elements are correctly and completely stated. Prepares quality trend analyses based on a review of quality records and testing data; and investigates defective material. Conducts or participates in capability surveys and product reviews. Assists in advising other elements in the implementation of quality requirements; and monitors program actions through the production and use cycles. Provides advice and guidance on technical problems as needed. Ensures that quality processes are developed in conjunction with user requirements. Serves as an independent contributor or team lead to establish parameters and specifications for databases. Tracks and maintains documentation of assigned quality projects. Reviews requirements, specifications, and documentation to gain a thorough understanding of the programs and processes to be certified. Validates results, reports discrepancies, and follows through to ensure that all issues are resolved. Provides or validates estimates for assigned tasks.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and 10 to 12 years of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
