Under general supervision, participates in the selling process to identify, develop, and support product/service applications. Requires a blend of sales, marketing, and technical skills. Interacts with management at customer site to assess business processes and address product/service needs. Provides support to overall sales process, pre-sales through post-sales support.
Participates in training sessions, seminars, and continuing education to stay abreast of new technical developments. Participates in providing technical information and training to workers in other departments, such as marketing and legal, as well as engineering and production staff. Participates in joint development of system concepts with appropriate members from engineering division. Assists in the selling process by helping provide system cost estimates that reflect the organization/clients current ability to purchase, design and build, and helps writes the descriptive document that adequately describes the scope of the proposed system to the customer and to the engineering and project team members. Aids in providing the conceptual development, preparation of cost model and writing detailed technical proposals for all types of product/service applications. Involves key members of engineering management in cost models and conceptual layout, in projects where technical complexity is large. Assists engineers and other technical staff in design and development of products, systems, processes and equipment by analyzing technical problems and working closely to customer specifications. Involves third party vendors and suppliers in the quoting process, where necessary. May travel to the customer's site to assist in project or product development, may work with engineering design specifications, objectives and standards. May provide sales presentations to customer personnel, when required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Must possess and maintain valid CS/IA certification and Security+ CE. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 1-3 years of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
