CACI is looking for an experienced Logistics Professional with strong logistics skills to support a DoD Foreign Military Sales program in the Norfolk, VA area. The program provides life cycle maintenance, logistics support, and modernization of foreign military weapon systems and hull, mechanical, and electrical equipment. The position will be a Senior Logistics Analyst reporting to the Logistics Program Manager.
The primary role of the Senior Logistics Analyst is to provide all aspects of logistics execution for the modernization and maintenance of former USN, USCG and foreign naval vessels.
Responsible for (1) Equipment provisioning and allowance modeling to support preventative (planned), corrective (unplanned), and alterative (e.g. SHIPALTs, MACHALTs, etc) maintenance; (2) Sourcing of material from commercial and federal sectors. (3) Development and maintenance of ship configuration baselines and equipment/systems top-down breakdown/hierarchical relationships; (4) Marine engineering system functionality, components, and associated Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements to support planned/unplanned maintenance;
Duties and responsibilities may include:
Running a logistics warehouse(s) including receiving / storage/ shipping of material and the employees associated with it.
Responsibility for conducting shipboard equipment validations and ILS Support/shipboard inventories, developing storeroom mock-ups, layout, and supporting material on-loads and off-loads.
Responsibility for identification and sourcing material from commercial and federal sources
Responsibility for material order submission, tracking, and expediting using DoD and Navy MILSTRIP requisition transactions.
Responsibility for material shipping, monitoring, tracing, and tracking using both commercial sources and the DTS for CONUS and OCONUS delivery.
Providing subject matter expertise and leadership to project analyses and process improvement activities.
Providing matrix Logistics support to all country managers.
Responsibility for driving recommendations through to implementation.
Communicating effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
Coordinating and/or conducting training to foreign customers on all aspects of life cycle management and integrated logistics support
Development of subcontractor task orders and oversight for performance of subcontractor work.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree with minimum of 6 years of experience in logistics planning and execution activities supporting a program / project office (i.e. -“ NAVSEA, NSWC, planning yards, -¦) to include at least 1 year of experience in 4 or more of the following ILS elements: maintenance planning and test equipment, technical documentation, supply support, computer resources, facilities, manpower and personnel, packaging / handling / transportation and training. Maintenance planning is preferred as one of the four elements.
Experience with foreign military sales logistics support.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
