This position is in support of an OCONUS contract with relocation, COLA, and HOLA benefits.
Manages activities concerned with the installation, operation, and maintenance of buildings, equipment, utilities, structures, grounds, and roads. Manages the activities concerned with the installation, operation, and maintenance of buildings, equipment utilities, structures, grounds and road. Provide first echelon (E1) services for facilities maintenance.
Ensures building integrity and maintenance of electrical, water, and air systems and other real property.
Oversees maintenance of facility grounds/landscaping.
Supervises numerous vendor and subcontractor relationships.
Maintains office equipment and furniture inventory and warranty/guarantee records. Maintains files on repair/service contracts and equipment purchases/leases. Researches all major equipment purchases.
Manages facility relocation and construction when required.
Participates in planning and policy development issues.
May assist in performing audits to support facility planning. May assist in creating long range facility plans.
Responsible for employment, training, motivation, discipline and performance evaluation of assigned employees.
Manage the repair and maintenance of the facility's fire alarm system and intrusion detection/monitoring system.
Manage the maintenance and repair of the air conditioning systems, water systems, electrical wiring and lighting support.
Provide maintenance of facilities grounds/landscaping. Oversees local maintenance staff.
Ensure building integrity and maintenance of electrical, water, and air systems. Maintains documentation of repair/service contracts and equipment purchases/leases.
Researches facilities equipment purchases.
Performs facility relocation and construction analysis.
Participate in the development of policies and procedures that affect the use of supplies and facilities.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and a minimum of 10-12 years of related experience, with three to five years supervisory/management experience. Ten (10) years of relevant professional experience and training commensurate with facilities management to include RF shielded enclosures.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
