Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Leads and conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and administration of major contracts. Monitors performance for conformance to original proposal.
 
RESPONSIBILTIES:
Serves as point of contact for customers. Acts as advisor regarding contractual requirements, risk mitigation, customer specifications and government regulations. Manages and administers company contracts including overseeing proposal preparation and contract negotiation. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. May provide work leadership for lower level employees. Detects issues related to contract administration and proposals and recommends solutions. Provides regular reporting to senior management on contract issues. May assist in the development and maintenance of contract database.
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, with additional training in government contracts, and seven to nine years of related (government contract administration) experience.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
