CACI is seeking an Analyst/Tester to support a Navy sustainment and modernization effort that includes, analysis, web and database development, server and system administration, as well as training and support. NMMES provides IT software and services critical to the US Naval shipyards, Intermediate Maintenance Facilities, Regional Maintenance Centers, and Ship Repair facilities. The contract will include all personnel and managed services needed to satisfy the worldwide development, deployment, operation, maintenance, and sustainment requirements for an organization critical to the success of the Navy and its important mission.
The Analyst/Tester will be a part of a team that is involved in every phase of the software development life cycle. This individual will be responsible for gathering and defining requirements, documenting high level and detail level designs, documenting test process steps and execution of those steps and documenting plans that are used by all team members from inception to conclusion. Under close supervision, assists in developing and defining systems scope and objectives through research combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Formulates and defines system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Interviews personnel from functional user area under study to learn general purpose of systems and information requirements of positions involved in the data flow. Analyzes client resources, including funding, personnel and unfunded requirements. Analyzes user needs to determine functional and cross-functional requirements. Analyzes the problem and the information to be processed. Defines the problem, and develops system requirements and program specifications, from which programmers prepare detailed flow charts, programs, and tests.
Coordinates closely with programmers to ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications. Analyzes business and user needs, documents requirements and revises existing system logic difficulties as necessary under direction of more experienced Analyst personnel.
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or zero to two years of related experience.
US citizenship with active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Detail oriented and organized; able to understand work problems and procedures and ensure accuracy of work and careful documentation.
Requires a good working knowledge of business systems lifecycle and functional user needs.
Basic business communication skills. Can interact effectively with users and clarify requirements. Able to produce use cases, high level and detailed requirements and requirements traceability documents.
Able to understand the day-to-day operational needs of customers, identify problems in business processes and systems and propose solutions that meet user needs.
Demonstrated analytical skills, critical thinking and ability to prepare concept papers, briefs and official documents using MS Office suite applications.
Ability to speak and present comfortably in large group settings.
Experience developing testing documentation and test execution.
Strong analytical and testing skills.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
