Under general direction, performs government property administration and accounting duties requiring experience and knowledge in government property administration practices.
Ensures compliance with all regulations regarding government property. Reviews contract and solicitation provisions for government property requirements, providing recommendations to project, contract, and proposal managers as applicable. Establishes records and maintains control of government property records. Initiates paperwork to obtain proper authorization for use of government property. Prepares company for audits. Tracks maintenance and calibration of government property. Able to maintain inventory control of Communications Security material (CCI) and handling of COMSEC material. Develops procedures for receipt and issue of, materials and equipment. Prepares a variety of government required reports and represents the company during audits. Submits recommendations to improve operations. Assists in the development and implementation of property accounting systems. Keeps up to date on industry best practices and most current developments in government property administration. Works with other departments to coordinate government property administration issues. May provide advice and guidance to less experienced staff.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
