Job Description

Responsible for the performance of a relatively significant technical, non-technical, and/or intelligence related program or multiple smaller non-technical programs in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. Program area typically represents more than three functional areas. Also responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned programs and for supporting new business development by leading proposals. Responsible for the employment, training, coaching, mentoring, motivation, discipline and performance evaluation of assigned employees.
The client is looking for an IT Project Manager (PM) to provide infrastructure requirements management support to the client's Partner. This individual will be part of a team providing IT project management support to the tenants within the customer's Partner's compound and several exterior client Partner facilities. This will be a challenging and dynamic position that will continue to evolve as the client's Partner grows. Current activities would include, but not be limited to: - Brokering customer Partner technical requirements to client (and other) service providers. - Leveraging client and client Partner resources and managing customer expectations. - Working across all levels of management, other branches and service providers to define requirements, develop schedules, and manage project plans. The IT Project Manager (PM) shall work with their manager and/or other representatives to achieve the objectives of the project they are assigned to. The PM will be expected to use the customer Project Management Framework (PMF) to manage their projects to include Agile methodology. The PM is responsible for the overall management of the specific projects and ensuring that the technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner. The PM is responsible for all aspects of the project including schedules, documentation preparation, and customer interaction. The PM is expected to have extensive ability to clearly present information; read and interpret complex information; interact with customers; listen well and work through others to obtain results.
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 16 or more years of experience, including three to five years of supervisory/management experience. Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone and email. Demonstrated experience with data analysis, gathering and developing business requirements, and visualizing content that would provide an enhanced understanding of the information. Demonstrated experience utilizing both Waterfall and Agile methodologies to improve management of requirements and delivery of functions. Demonstrated experience as a project manager and primary point of contact leading large, complex, high priority, and high visibility IT projects while ensuring that project direction, scope and requirements are aligned and communicated across all levels of management. Demonstrated experience managing the full project lifecycle for software/network projects using Project Management Principles. This includes: managing day-to-day activities, developing project timelines, presentations, deliverables, PMPs, any security related documentation, risk management plans, etc. Demonstrated experience creating and managing MS Project Schedules. Demonstrated experience with resource management, to include identifying allocated resources and identifying over and under allocations, and balancing project schedules and critical tasks. This includes using MS Project Gantt charts to demonstrate which resources are assigned to what project and if they are over/under allocated. Demonstrated experience participating and facilitating information sessions, control gates with other Project Managers, customers, stakeholders, and management to provide proper documentation and terminology that would ensure understanding and buy-in. and face to face. Some travel may be required. Clearance required is TS/SCI w/Poly.
