Job Description

Join CACI's Aerospace Solutions Group in supporting radar antenna range upgrade and modernization programs for the U.S. Air Force. Be a part of the multi-disciplined engineering team that designs, develops and demonstrates next generation automated test systems that enable Government maintenance technicians to diagnose and repair the fire control radar antennas and radomes found on fighter aircraft. This software engineering position entails developing real-time, embedded software applications for integrated microwave/RF measurement systems coupled with precision motion control systems.
- Work as a member of an integrated product team to develop and deliver Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Set (TPS) hardware and software as a part of a system solution

- Design, develop, integrate, and validate MATLAB and Simulink software applications including:
- A Real-Time RF tracker to support specific nose radome measurements

- Reconfigurable tracker algorithms that compensate for antenna depression angles, X-Y position, and tracking rates

- A Finite State Machine (FSM) to command and control the RF tracker, the 5-axis positioner subsystem, and the measurement profile sequencer

- Interact with the data collection and analysis workstation

- Operator -œPost Test- interaction with the analysis workstation to quickly identify and correct Unit Under Test performance anomalies

- Calibration and diagnostic routines

- Test procedure development

- Operator training

- Ensure individual work products are completed on cost and on schedule

- Participate in document and code peer reviews to ensure conformance, correctness and quality of all delivered products

- Participate in ATE/TPS hardware and software design activities

- Integrate and troubleshoot ATE/TPS hardware and software

- Develop ATE/TPS requirements, design and test documents


- Embedded DSP development experience for radar guidance and control applications using the Linux real-time operating system and ANSI C development tools or Simulink Real-Time

- Experience with Windows 10 and/or Linux development tools

- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

- 6-DOF Simulink Real-Time hardware-in-the-loop modeling experience

- Radar tracker design for phased array, monopulse tracking systems or sequential lobe tracking

- Development and/or test experience with modern RF microwave analyzer subsystems (up to 40GHz)

- Development and/or test experience with precision, multi-axis motion control subsystems

- Software development using ANSI-C and/or C++

- Development of ATE and TPS for aircraft electrical, mechanical, avionics or engine systems

- Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality management systems

- Familiarity with ATE/TPS government standards such as MIL-PRF-28800 and MIL-PRF-32070

Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and five to seven years of related work experience.
