CACI has an opening for a Secret cleared Junior PC/ Desktop intern to work with a team of technical professionals responsible for Information Technology support to the US Special Operations Command located in MacDill, FL.
Providing tier 1 support to the end user installing/uninstalling software, trouble shooting software and hardware issues. Responsible for upgrading computers at the user's location. When issuing new equipment to a user or recovering old equipment from a user, the technician is required to maintain inventory control paperwork. Specific Responsibilities: Installation of new equipment to fulfill IT requirements for individual users. Must be able to install, uninstall and troubleshoot Microsoft and other desktop applications. Must be able to install, uninstall and troubleshoot peripheral devices such as printers, scanner, voice over IP telephones, Blackberry, fax machines, etc. Assist customers in the setup and configuration of computer hardware and software Perform scheduled hardware and software upgrades Provide remote technical assistance to users through Dameware NT Utilities Update operating systems with correct drivers and service packs. Familiar with Active Directory Must possess good customer relation skills, will be interfacing with customers daily. Must be able to follow directions. Must be able to work unsupervised and perform tasks assigned. Must be physically fit to carry computer equipment to include CPUs, monitors, printers, scanners and other peripheral equipment between locations Familiar with Blackberry.
Required Background & Experience
- Current Secret clearance (preferred)clearable accepted.
- 1 year experience in desktop/PC repair
- DOD 8570 IAT 2 compliance within 3 month
- AS Degree
