CACI is seeking a Systems Administrator at Langley AFB, VA. The candidate will be supporting the Distributed Ground System-Experimental (DGS-X) system operations and promotes AF Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS, AN/GSQ-272 Sentinel) modernization by testing new and improved ISR ground station capabilities.
Maintains and operates information technology computer systems and networks.
Ensures the integrity of integration, innovation and provisional baselines.
Responsible for installing, supporting and maintaining servers or other computer systems as well as planning for, and responding to, service outages and other problems.
Have the ability to perform scripting, project management for systems-related activities, working and training with other system administrators.
Routinely performs system checks (processes, services, network, storage) to ascertain overall system health.
Applies operating system updates and configuration changes. Installs and configures new hardware/software.
Serves as a front line interface to users with technical issues.
Responsible for user account management: Creates, loads, modifies, deletes and resets passwords of user accounts.
Answers technical queries and is jointly responsible for security, documenting configuration management, troubleshooting any reported problems and conducting system performance tuning.
Responsible for the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information systems through patch management, antivirus installation and signature file updates and data archival/restoral.
Monitors server and workstation network status, and serves as member of Quality Assurance (QA) team that performs testing and validation.
Conducts systems analysis and development to keep systems as current as possible with changing technology.
Supports AF DCGS and Coalition interoperability.
Carries out above assigned duties working cohesively with other assigned system administrators, engineers, network/communications technicians, Contract Field Service Representatives (CFSR) and COTS Sustainment Support (CSS) personnel.
Drafts and submits monthly task summaries, trip reports and other required documentation to Lead System Administrator.
Must have a current Top Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access within 90 days of hire.
Bachelor's degree or two to four years' equivalent experience
DODD 8570 certification, minimally Security + within 90 days of hire; enrollment in associated Continuous Education Program
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
