A Special Assistant II is expected to interact with high-ranking officials both within and throughout the Intelligence Community, Congress, the White House, and the private sector. Intrinsic to the Special Assistant’s work is knowledge of the client, the Intelligence Community, and other government agencies. Incumbents may provide general supervision and guidance to junior secretaries.
A Day In the Life:
As a Mission Support Administrator, a typical day might include the following:
Maintaining your manager or office’s calendars, conference room scheduling, and meeting request.
Answering and directing calls or taking messages
Maintaining office supplies and filing systems
Preparing , editing, and formatting office correspondence
Tracking ORE funding memos
Pulling together weekly briefings for Senior Management.
Putting together all hands.
Working with front office staff and creating and maintaining the standard operating procedures.
Work is typically performed in an office environment, requiring the use of computer terminals and standard office equipment to accomplish work objectives. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The position may also require lifting, pushing and/or carrying equipment averaging 30+ lbs.
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Three years of progressively responsible executive office support experience.
Strong communication skills (listening , oral, and written)
Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook software
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Strong oral and writing skills
Nice to Haves:
Prior experience with our client’s administrative systems
Experience with providing customer service
Ability to interact with people who have different values, cultures, or backgrounds.
Ability to work independently at a brisk pace, make urgent judgment decisions, and to take the correct action.
