What You’ll Get to Do:
You will serve as a scientific and strategic analyst on a range of complex program activities requiring application of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessment of complex management processes, systems and mission support programs.
You will provide specialized support to the Department of Defense (DoD) Basic Research Office (BRO) in support of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OASD(R&E)) and the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research (ODASD(R)). Supports oversight and program management of science and technology (S&T) to solve current and future challenges for the Department of Defense (DoD). The ODASD(R) requires highly specialized technical, program, and administrative support services to achieve its mission.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
-Five (5) years’ recent and relevant experience. Demonstrated progressive responsibility in project management positions supporting the DoD science and technology enterprise. Knowledge and experience in grants support and grants policy required. Excellent communication skills, unstructured verbal interactions, briefings, and meeting moderation; and, ability to work independently with both junior and senior staff in a distributed environment while maintaining a strong commitment to deliverable scheduled. Demonstrated success in the conception and execution of new projects (i.e., no pre-existing business processes), and without detailed guidance from the client;
-Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required. A Bachelor’s degree in scientific, technical, business management, or other related discipline is preferred. Degree requirement waived in lieu of significant recent and relevant work experience: minimum of five (5) years’ active duty military or minimum of ten (10) years’ experience; and
-Active DoD Secret clearance.

PhD in science or a scientific discipline.
