PROJECT SUMMARY: As the prime contractor, CACI directly supports the customer’s mission by providing design, implementation, and support of a hybrid cloud environment for hosting customer applications. We provide full support for the environment from design to implementation and security accreditation. In addition, the team works with mission partners to help transition applications to the new hybrid cloud envrionment. We have served our customer for over a decade because of our relentless pursuit of project success and because of the talented engineers and developers on our team. Our staff size exceeds 100 members which provides opportunities for growth in leadership, technical, or customer interfacing roles.
POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a hands-on SME Systems/Network Engineer who focuses on feature implementation and deep systems/network engineering with knowledge of security engineering. The person has the opportunity to help deliver a new hybrid cloud environment that meets the processing, security, and cost needs for our mission partners. The solution will provide the platform required to help our client continue to meet mission requirements.
Systems and network engineering design and implementation of hybrid cloud environment integrating Cisco CloudCenter, VMware, Amazon Web Services (AWS), OpenStack and bare metal environments.
Works with switches and F5 appliances to establish connectivity and security between environments.
Establishes system configurations and baselines for implementing new mission partner spaces.
Troubleshoots network problems and outages.
Develops code to help deploy service offerings and support integration requirements.
Secures network accesses by establishing and enforcing policies.
Architects multi-environment solutions incorporating computing, storage, security, and cost requirements.
Actively guides and participates in documentation of configurations, processes, and architecture/security relevant diagrams.
May mentor more junior level technical staff
Partner with program leadership and key stake holders at high level
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Typically requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 12 plus years of directly related experience.
Active TS/SCI security clearance with favorable polygraph
Demonstrated expertise with on-the-job system administration (DNS, DHCP, NTP, LDAP) experience
Expertise with Cisco CloudCenter, VMware, OpenStack and bare metal environments.
Solid knowledge and experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Expertise with network switches
Demonstrated expertise and experience with all of the following infrastructure principles: Fault tolerance, High availability, Scalability, Capacity planning, Data center organization, Backup / Recovery, Network and Security Engineering, Troubleshooting, and data encryption solutions
Experience with security engineering and security accreditation processes
Experience with integration in cloud environments
Expertise with design and implementation
Expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS) architecture design and implementation
Experience with F5 platform
Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server administration
Perl, Python, or other scripting/development languages
Experience developing Ansible Playbooks
Experience developing network diagrams using tools such as Visio
Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios and Splunk
