Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

As a Java Developer you will design and coordinate the development of software systems and hardware in one or more Business Systems/Information Systems area. Our Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) e-Business Suite including the EDA Application is located and supported in Jacksonville.   We utilize a Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) software development.  

More About the Role:

- Designs and develops programming systems making specific determinations about system performance; defines functional specifications of the system for the appropriate hardware.

- Analyzes total system specifications and translates system requirements to task specifications for computer programmers.
- Develops training programs to promote staff development within departments affected by utilization or revision of computer systems.
- Participates in development of long range planning for new projects.
- Prepares reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
- Performs the technical functions of systems programming and analysis for operating software products.
- Tests and installs new operating software releases and updates existing software
- Performs diagnostic problem solving of systems software and acts as liaison with vendors on problem resolution.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience
  • Past work experience as a software developer working in a Java/J2EE environment
  • Ability to work onsite in Jacksonville FL
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

 XML/XSL, Java Server Faces (JSF), HTML/XHTML,  MVC Framework, Oracle 12C, Oracle’s SQL Developer, IntelliJ IDEA, IBM’s WebSphere Application Server
