The Cybersecurity Policy Analyst selected will be responsible for providing support to the DoD's Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Cybersecurity (CS) Program.
* Policy analysis: including developing and implementing DoD cyber policy, analyzing potential impacts, and providing concise recommendations to leadership on complex cyber policy issues. This includes drafting notes, briefings, meeting minutes, and talking points. The position also requires responding to DoD Directives, instructions, interagency tasks, and providing input on federal rules in addition to drafting responses to Congressional tasker's.
* Program support: act in capacity of Action Officer in a team oriented environment to onboard industry participants. Experience with tracking and cataloging communications with senior-level DoD and industry personnel. Refine and support onboarding process for industry participants and Government stakeholders by verifying company eligibility, communicating via email and teleconferences to assist during all phases of the application process.
* Industry and Government engagement: Research and identify relevant public-private conferences and forums to include coordination with event planners, developing materials for distribution, interacting with industry participants, and following up with companies and Government organizations after conferences as needed. Represent Government client at various DoD and interagency meetings.
General Experience includes demonstrated exceptional written and oral communications skills with a precise attention to detail. Must have demonstrated experience in execution of key project areas. Must have demonstrated ability to work independently or under only general direction. Strong analytical and technical skills to understand and de-conflict complex matters. Motivation to learn and constantly seek to improve processes and procedures.
Responsibilities: Serves as Policy Analyst applying a wide spectrum of disciplines for the planning, analysis, design, implementation and support of assigned tasks. Develops detailed policy products in accordance with set timelines. Coordinates interactions with senior level DoD and industry personnel to increase participation in the DIB CS Program. As applicable, support larger program efforts to engage with a broader community of industry participants, develop briefings, and metrics according to guidance from Program Director. Update internal program documents to ensure compliance with DoD regulations and guidance. Document all interactions with companies and record the progress of all applications. Performs additional duties as required.
