Provide systems and project engineering support in an Army Program Office. Requires experience supporting electronic sensor systems or similar technical products. Experience with airborne platforms and aircraft systems integration is highly relevant. Must have experience as a client-site contractor supporting military officers (CPT; MAJ; LTC; COL). Experience collaborating with acquisition specialists, cost analysts, logisticians, and trainers is relevant. Requires DAU Level 2 certification or equivalent in Systems Engineer; DAU Level 3 in Systems Engineering is preferred. Experience developing and revising SEPs, TEMPs, TRRs, and related documents is highly relevant.
Identifies system requirements for operations and security, and works with other engineers and staff to develop designs and integrate components.
Performs system designs, developments and product verification testing on power, control systems, software, hardware, and equipment.
Develops the operations, management, integration & security requirements.
Develops and documents system architecture, including relevant user cases.
Manages installation, maintenance and support of complex technical infrastructures, hardware, and system software components.
Manages and tunes platforms to ensure expected availability and performance levels are achieved.
Develops models for future architectural enhancements to system hardware.
Develops security procedures for design reviews, and for operational monitoring, recording, and responding to security events.
Develops and may conduct training programs.
Recommends future direction or projects to management.
Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of complex software programs to enhance an operating system.
Interfaces with all aspects of the team to resolve system engineering issues and actions.
Originates and delivers technical briefs to the government and contractor personnel and all levels.
Responsible for providing technical support and system engineering assistance to other elements at the direction of the government client.
Provides system engineering support and advice for team integration on new platforms when required at system level for cost/schedule impacts.
Reviews project initiatives and designs changes for cost/schedule impacts at system level.
Bachelors degree, 5 yrs of experience in the field, DAU level 2 or equivalent, experience developing TEMP, test and eval master plan, experience TRR, test readiness review briefs, army acquisition experience, experience with EOIR, electro-optical-infrared, develop systems engineering plan SEP.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and 10 to 12 years of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
