The Clinical Analyst will provide clinical expertise in support of the Medical Materiel Enterprise Standardization Office (MMESO) Program. The Clinical Analysts will assist and provide technical analysis of products, processes and procedures; engage with subject matter experts in determining requirements and organizing Clinical Product Teams (CPTs). The Clinical Analyst will assist in clinical evaluations and clinical trials; assist CPT members in all related evaluations and analyses, and assist in all related administrative areas, such as documenting technical analyses and retaining all relevant documents for file. The Clinical Analyst will serve as a point of contact for industry and/or CPT members. This individual will conduct market research on medical/surgical supplies and equipment, clinical processes, usage patterns, market trends, and market leaders to formulate business case analyses to support the execution of enterprise level standardization actions.
This position is located at Fort Detrick, MD.
This successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
•Conduct comprehensive market research to include historical usage, clinical practices guidelines, and industry best practices to identify appropriate product lines for the development of enterprise Standardization Actions (SAs).
•Identify and interface with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and actively solicit SME input to assist with the creation of relevant and appropriate clinical requirements to support quality product selection.
•Assist and support the Team Lead in developing and submitting timely, coherent documents that are complete, accurate and consistent with guidance from DLA Troop Support, DHA MEDLOG Division.
•Lead enterprise wide product evaluation teams in successfully completing the evaluation process in a timely manner; track product delivery, oversee completion of clinical evaluation forms, and collect and accurately tabulate clinical data.
•Support the MMESO effort and the Project Manager in improving templates, formats and processes to increase the effectiveness of the standardization effort; provide input for continuous process improvement.
•Maintain timely and complete records on all phases of the clinical evaluations and analyze results to enable the MMESO to develop well founded recommendations.
•Conduct document revisions as required by DHA MEDLOG Division, DLA Troop Support and the Project Manager.
•Adhere to standard operating procedures and processes in facilitating the standardization effort
•Support Joint Product Review Board (JPRB) meetings as directed.
•Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or other related clinical discipline is required. Master's degree is highly desirable.
•Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a clinical practice and must have an active and unencumbered license throughout the life of the contract
•Demonstrated experience in functional and data collection, analysis, requirements analysis, systems analysis and design, program design, and documentation preparation
•Demonstrated experience in the implementation of healthcare standardization and business re-engineering of medical healthcare systems is also required.
•Strong understanding of the DoD MHS enterprise including, but not limited to the operational environment is highly desirable.
•Understanding of Supply Chain/Logistics operations, preferable in the healthcare environment, is also highly desirable.
•Must be a US Citizen.
•Must be able to pass a favorable National Agency Check with Local Law and Credit (NACLC)
