Under close supervision, performs maintenance on existing RM Online System software products. Assists in coding, testing, and debugging new software or making enhancements to existing software. Suggests solutions for problems or software enhancements. May assist and work with senior technical staff to learn and understand problems with software. Attends on-going training sessions to achieve a higher level of technical skill.
RM Online is a web-based Budget Planning and Execution System comprised of several modules, and is used by several major US Army Commands and other Government Agencies.
Assists in writing code to create single-threaded or user interface event driven applications.
Helps to develop code necessary to complete the assigned project(s) in the specified time frame according to departmental standards and guidelines.
Assists in writing, modifying, and debugging software for client applications.
Writes programs according to specifications from higher-level personnel.
Works with technical staff to understand and makes suggestions to resolve software problems.
Profiles, analyzes and optimizes the software he/she is responsible for implementing with assistance from higher-level personnel.
Employs best practices for design, development, unit testing and test plan development.
Seeks to improve personal job related knowledge and departmental process by studying the development tools used, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications.
Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and one to two years of related work experience. Must be a US Citizen, Clearance obtainable.
One year ColdFusion development experience preferred.
