You will be responsible for organizing and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects efficiently and effectively within compressed timeline to support Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection (DHS/CBP). You must be able to prepare, draft and edit difficult and sensitive information for a variety of communications, often in a short timeframe. You will work closely with intra/interagency representatives and ensure that long term event planning and scheduling is managed in a timely manner, and will provide consultative services to AMO’s (Air and Marine Operations) management staff.

Develop business relationships with intra/interagency representatives
Conducts research; analyzes, evaluates and interprets complex data and provides appropriate conclusions.
Assist in the execution of acquisition strategies, including drafting Statement of Work, Statement of Objectives, and Request for Information/Proposal preparations, and attending acquisition related meetings.
Provide consultative services to AMO’s management staff
Provides properly formatted products free of grammatical errors.
Prepares and conducts unclassified/classified briefings/presentations to convey agency policies, directives and instructions.
Prepares and participates in unclassified/classified meetings.
Develops and maintains schedules and provides meeting support.
Prepare documents (correspondence, memorandums, reports, standard operating procedures, agendas, and email) and briefings
Represents the organization in collaboration with other organizations, including functional counterparts, DHS S&T, other federal agencies, industry partners and academia.
Evaluate and interpret results from statistical analysis tools and coverage analysis programs.
Demonstrate applicable skills in managing tasks associated with cost, schedule, logistics, program control, configuration management, testing, and quality assurance Provide regular project status to program managers
Travel may be required (Domestic/Foreign)
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to attain US Government Secret Security Clearance.
Must be able to successfully pass a CBP Background Investigation.
Must have strong analytical and research skills
Proficient computer knowledge of various databases and applications or ability to utilize MS Office suite
Strong problem solving skills.
Strong communication skills including effective presentation skills and the ability to write and edit technical reports.
Demonstrated ability to set clearly defined objectives and to plan activities/projects well in advance, taking into account possible changing circumstances.
Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external counterparts.
Ability to keep abreast of technological developments.
Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities
Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of related work.
At least two to five years of experience in project support and/or management – preferred.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
At least two or more years material handling/planning experience in support of Government programs – not required but preferred
Some have a working knowledge of all aspects of government acquisitions – not required but preferred
