Job Description

Responsibilities/Duties: 

This is an analyst position operating under the direction of the Supervisor onsite. Apply knowledge of computer system principles, automated data processing functions, and metadata structures to develop solutions to user requirements

Duties include:

  • Analyze user requests and translate them into data field normalization and Bates numbering specifications.  
  • Load documents and data into litigation support software repositories. 
  • Troubleshoot data loading problems and handle exception documents and issues.   
  • Work on EDD, bates capturing, image overlays, OCR, CSV normalization and merges through Recommend and Concordance.
  • Decompress and extract documents from compound files. 
  • Convert native files into endorsed TIFF images using government-approved tools.
  • Follow data loading standards and workflow documentation.  Export data and load overlay data into litigation support repositories and check for consistency.
  • Must be able to ensure the accuracy of data loading, manipulation, and conversion by performing and documenting quality and accuracy checks.
  • Create electronic productions from litigation support repositories with production reports and exception reports. 
  • Perform quality assurance checks on data loading. 
  • Assist Supervisor with updating of SOP documentation and training to Junior staff.
  • Communicate with client and other CACI groups on-site on a daily basis to inform, discuss and offer solutions regarding problematic productions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience on major litigation support projects, including proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously.  Requires in-depth knowledge of litigation support, excellent writing skills and excellent oral communication skills.
  • Requires hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, and internet and server-based databases and other applications, such as Recommind, Concordance, Relativity, LAW PreDiscovery, iConect etc.  Perl / VB Scripting experience or some programming background is a preferred. 
  • Hands on experience working with SQL / Queries preferred.
  • Experience working with regular expressions and data manipulation is preferred.

Required  Qualifications:  

  • At least seven years of professional experience with five years of progressively more responsible experience on major litigation support projects, including at least one year of supervisory experience
  • Undergraduate degree preferred. 
  • Should be familiar with the Government's office and network environment.

Additional Skills:

-Extensive skills in Relativity, IPRO e-Capture and other lit support software.

-Problem solver.  Someone who can use the tech they know to solve complex data problems.

-Someone with analytics experience and can advise on its use.

--Experience in other government components, including Criminal litigation would be helpful.
