The Data Entry Specialist main responsibility is to accurately enter and verify purchase orders from buyers. The individual will extract the information from various acquisition sources depending the type of purchases then enter into SQL Server database using a web application. The selected candidate will also handle internal and external inquiries regarding certain inventory items. The individual must be comfortable with communicating to buyers and staff in different departments as well as upper management.
Locating hard copy of each item and corresponding entry in Excel file.
Cross checking data of each item based on purchase request and purchase order.
Entering data into SQL Server database using a web application
Verifying and extracting data via SQL Server Select statements.
Running reports for auditing purposes.
Active Secret Clearance.
Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
Ability to run basic SQL Server commands.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and attentive to details.
Associates Degree preferred.
One to two years of office work experience required.
Good a team player and cordial towards customers and vendors.
