This is a contingent position to support Army PEO Soldier located in Fort Belvoir Va. In this role, you will be developing, testing, producing, fielding, and sustaining state-of-the-art products and weapon systems. As an experienced Electrical Engineer, you will apply your expertise in a subspecialty (Electro-Optics, RF, or electronics design) to evaluate designs, make recommendations for developing and modifying products, design experiments, and develop and execute detailed plans to evaluate component and system performance. You will apply your experience working on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to successfully collaborate with systems engineers, logisticians, acquisition specialists, program analysts, and budget management analysts. Provide project engineering support in an Army Program Office.
Duties may include analyzing equipment to establish operating data, conducting test and evaluating results, selecting components and equipment, and analyzing specification and reliability.
Identifies electrical system requirements and works with other engineers and staff to develop designs and integrate components.
Performs system designs, developments and product verification testing on power, control systems, software, hardware, and equipment.
Develop and document system architecture, including relevant use cases.
Manage installation, maintenance and support of complex technical infrastructures, hardware, and system software components.
Manage and tune platforms to ensure expected availability and performance levels are achieved.
Develop models for future enhancements to system hardware.
Recommend future direction or projects to management.
Interface with all aspects of the team to resolve system engineering issues and actions.
Originate and deliver technical briefs to the government and contractor personnel and all levels.
Responsible for providing technical support and project engineering assistance to other elements at the direction of the government client.
Provide engineering support and advice for team integration on new platforms when required at system level for cost/schedule impacts.
Review project initiatives and design changes for cost/schedule impacts.
Must have experience as a client-site contractor supporting military officers.
Requires experience supporting electronic sensor systems or similar technical products.
Must have experience as a client-site contractor supporting military officers (CPT; MAJ; LTC; COL).
Experience collaborating with acquisition specialists, cost analysts, logisticians, and trainers is relevant.
Experience analyzing ECPs, and developing and revising SEPs, TEMPs, TRRs, and related documents is highly relevant.
Must have a current SECRET clearance.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent and 7 to 10 years of related experience.
Normal demands associated with an office environment.
Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face.
Some travel may be required.
