Job Description

The SharePoint Engineer will be responsible for managing the existing Medical Information Delivery (MID) SharePoint Content Management tool while supporting the migration of this SharePoint to a cloud enclave environment in support of Defense Healthcare Agency (DHA) initiatives.

The candidate will be responsible for providing support in a cloud environment for platforms supporting multiple projects and implementing site configuration and administration support of current and future farm environment.  The candidate will develop processes/workflows to help organizations meet business process requirements and maintain database backups, patching and replications.  Candidate will help developers manage virtual libraries and create and maintain sites to host artifacts, materials, guidance, tools, etc. that can be shared within or across the different project teams and all branches of service (Army, Navy, AF, Marines) and their contractors (CAC-accessed).

Responsibilities:

As a SharePoint Engineer, you will be able to perform the following duties:

  • SharePoint Configuration and Administration of farm
  • Extensive understanding of database technologies to include backup/restoration, patching and replication
  • Developing and maintaining key components of the software suite using SharePoint 2013, Microsoft .Net framework, ActiveClient, SQL Server 2014 Standard and/or Enterprise Edition, Windows Server 2012
  • Implementing and configuring usages of Search, Metadata, and User Profile Services within SP’s applications services framework
  • Developing custom code
  • Extensive understanding of all features and capabilities of the SharePoint 2013 and 2016 platform.
  • Providing SharePoint Design and Workflow development support
  • Using SharePoint 2013 and/or 2016 application/designer to create workflows
  • Developing and managing site content and capabilities
  • Development of BI dashboards
  • Prepare process and procedure material and provide short briefing sessions to users as needed
  • Assist with the design and development of SharePoint pages

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems; or related field
  • 15-20 years of SharePoint Engineering and Development experience
  • 3-5 years of Cloud Experience
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high quality/error free deliverables
  • Security+ certification and/or operating system certification
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Be available nights and weekends, as needed
