Overview and Duties:
In support of the NAVSEA Corporate Operations and Human Resources, the HR Specialist will provide staffing and talent management for the NAVSEA Senior Executive Service Members (SES). This includes the developing of job announcements, recruitment packages, interview panels, and justification/selection packages. The HR Specialist will provide support for: awards, performance, and training/coaching tracking, and in the creation of standard operating procedures (SOPS), recruitment metrics, and recommending process improvement opportunities.
Required Background and Experience:
HR background in US Government (DoD, Federal Civilian, or related). University Degree (BA/BS) is highly desired and minimum 5 years of related work experience. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Candidates should have experience briefing and presenting to senior level management. Candidates should also possess: advanced Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and SharePoint experience (desired).
