CACI International Inc. has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Clerk located Ashburn, VA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision, performs a full range of order fulfillment and warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, stocking, storing, and inventory of materials.
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
Receives material and verifies count against accompanying documents.
Processes requests for items, pulls and assembles kits for shipping, prepares and packs items for shipment.
May assist in loading shipments.
Operates a forklift.
Authorizes and or rejects shipments and informs management of discrepancies. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
Maintains work area and serves as contact for suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Assures that materials, parts, and assemblies are stored in an efficient manner and that shipments are prepared in accordance with company specifications.
Provides regular reporting to management on warehouse issues.
Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable.
Develops, drafts, writes and edits reports, briefs, proposals, and other documents in support of a client’s requirements.
Interfaces with personnel to coordinate meetings, maintain logs, records and files, provides end-user support, and performs general administrative duties.
Assists with budgetary, billing, and financial management issues.
Prepares and/or maintains systems, programming and operations documentation, procedures and methods, including user reference manuals.
May provide advice and guidance to less experienced staff.
Must have an active Secret clearance and maintain that security clearance
Van/Lightweight truck driving experience/certification is strongly desired
Must be familiar with State DOT regulations
Driver’s license with good standing driver record
Strong work ethic, the ability to work as part of a team, and a proven history of punctuality are essential
Familiarity with the National Capitol region and operating a truck or van.
Experience working in a warehouse environment, where asset management is critical.
Experience packing/unpacking a truck/van, including inventory and accountability for assets against a manifest.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience performing data entry and using a computer database
Education and Experience:
Typically requires high school diploma or equivalent, and one to two years of related experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
