Duties and Responsibilities:
CACI has an immediate opening in Norfolk, VA for an Information Technology Support Specialist providing direct support to the Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) IT Department. This individual:
-- Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
-- Identifies, researches, and resolves software user and technical problems.
-- Documents, tracks and monitors problems ensuring a timely resolution.
-- Assists in managing command assigned assets (receipt, issue, install, inventory, storage and disposal).
-- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field of IT support services.
-- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
-- Works under supervision reporting to a supervisor or manager. Strong user knowledge of core MS software suits a must (e-mail archiving, user back-ups, setting preferences, restoring defaults, etc).
-- This is not an NMCI position, but coordination with NMCI personnel will be required on occasion.
-- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years of related IT experience or an IT-related Certificate plus two years experience.
-- Must have a current Security+ CE certification and must maintain annual security certification.
-- Must have a minimum of two years job-related experience training users in computer based skills.
-- Must have a current DoD Secret security clearance.
Normal demands associated with an office environment and some light lifting associated with moving computer equipment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
