Job Description

The Defense Health Agency’s (DHA) mission is to provide a medically ready force to Combatant Commands in both peacetime and wartime. The DHA supports the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high-quality health services to the MHS (Military Health System) beneficiaries and is responsible for driving greater integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS.

Our team of IT and Health Care specialists provide a wide range of Medical Information Delivery Support (MIDS) for various DoD Medical IT systems and technologies. Our goal is to help SPAWAR and DHA solve enterprise healthcare challenges by delivering advanced data warehousing, cloud-based big data analysis, algorithm development, data quality improvements, decision support tools, and resource/cost efficiencies.

CACI is looking for an experienced Requirements/Data Analyst to work in our Charleston, SC, office. The Analyst will analyze and gather requirements from the stakeholders and communicate them with the developers and engineers. As a secondary duty, the Analyst will support the teams with implementing Agile Scrum methods for more efficient execution and delivery. The individual will work independently to drive creative ways to solve complex problems.


- Possess great communication and interfacing skills to capture requirements for processing healthcare data

- Liaising between developers and project stakeholders; fostering quality communication between engineering disciplines

- Gather requirements information from users and develop specifications, gather, define and coordinate testing requirements

- Develop and document Use Cases or User Stories and User Interface Storyboarding using Agile development methodologies

- Ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications

- Draft cost estimates

- Track and produce key metrics

- Using Agile Scrum methodology to manage multiple and concurrent work streams with a focus on guiding teams toward improving the way they work; Facilitating sprint planning, retrospective and demos

- Removing all obstacles to project team efficiency and effectiveness; reaching out to the larger organizational network for impediment removal; ensuring cross-team coordination

- Maintaining relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing

- Use tools such as JIRA and Confluence

Required Skills:

- U.S. Citizen, with eligibility for DoD Clearance

- BS degree in Engineering or Physical Science

- 7 to 9 years of relevant experience

- Good understanding of Big Data technologies and solutions (Teradata, Hadoop, Informatica, ETL, etc.)

- Experience with front-end applications and tools (SharePoint, Tableau, Jira, analytics, dashboard, etc.)

- Certified Scrum Master

- Good understanding of security implementation

- Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment

- Strong communications (verbal and written) skills

Desired Skills:

- Experience with health care specific data models and applications

- Experience supporting Government customers and applications

- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
