Job Description

Under very general direction, works from specifications to develop or modify complex components to various systems. May give some guidance to less experienced engineers and technicians.

-Performs networking tasks with routers, switches, loads IOS builds router configurations, call manager express experience, POTS, analog, ISDN, VOIP wired/wireless/powered, laptop imaging, virtual server and physical server experience, putty experience
-Ability to analyze network performance, identify issues, and recommend solutions
-Can work individually or as a vital team member to  investigate and resolve configuration and operational problems
-Conduct site surveys to capture work requirements and other key components for successful installations
-Identifies system requirements for operations and security, and works with other engineers and staff to develop designs and integrate components
-Performs system analysis and design, development and product verification testing on power, control systems, software, hardware, and equipment
--Develops the operations, management, integration & security requirements
-Develops and documents system architecture, including relevant user cases
-Develops security procedures for design reviews, and for operational monitoring, recording, and responding to security events
-Develops and administer databases used to store and retrieve
-Develops verification plans based on requirements and architecture documents
- Develop sustainable requirements, integration, testing, and configuration processes across multiple rapid development teams
-Defines operations, security and integration tool requirements to allow users to evaluate and analyze their network resources for performance and scalability in test-bed and modeled environments
-Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts.
-May review the work of others and be able to detect errors or needed modifications.
- Apply STIG and security best practices to all devices

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Networking, Information Systems, or Computer Science and five to seven years of related work experience.

- Strong verbal and written skills
- Potential CONUS, OCONUS travel up to 25%
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Security+, CCNA Security, other security certifications

- Desired Certifications:
-CCNA Routing & Switching and other network certifications
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel up to 25% may be required.
