Job Description

CACI is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support the Mission Command Global Fielding at Aberdeen Proving Ground MD. The individual will provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of complex software programs to enhance an operating system. The position will lead the functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware and software operating systems for products.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Identify system requirements for operations and security, and work with other engineers and staff to develop designs and integrate components.
  • Perform system design, development and product verification testing on power, control systems, software, hardware, and equipment.
  • Develop operation, management, integration & security requirements.
  • Develop and document system architecture, including relevant use cases.
  • Develop security procedures for design reviews, operational monitoring, recording, and responding to security events.
  • Develop the operations & systems integration plan including end-to-end scenarios including schedules and budgets.
  • Develop verification plans based on requirements and architecture documents.
  • Define operations, security and integration tool requirements to allow users to evaluate and analyze their network resources for performance and scalability in test-bed and modeled environments.
  • Provide technical direction and oversee integration and prototype development efforts.
  • Develop models for future architectural enhancements to system hardware.
  • Provide technical leadership in operations, security, and integration for the client network.
  • Lead technical tests, deployments and support projects.
  • Manage installation, maintenance and support of complex technical infrastructures, hardware, and system software components.
  • Manage and tune platforms to ensure expected availability and performance levels are achieved.

More About the Role:

  • Provide leadership to less experienced systems engineers. Specifically, instructing, assigning, and overseeing performance
  • Coordinate the activities of the software engineering department with other sections of the corporation's information systems operation.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science preferred) and 13 years of related experience
  • Relational database experience
  • Windows Server OS 2012/2016
  • MS SQL 2012 and/or higher
  • Ability to installed SQL Server, configure and tune.
  • Understanding of SQL queries and how to tune for performance.
  • DB Backup management
  • Stored Procedure familiarity
  • Windows or VM administration
  • IAT Level III Certified
  • Able to obtain IT-1 Personnel security Standards as per AR 25-2 for non-SCIF duties

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Familiar with Oracle 10-12
