Job Description

What You’ll Get to Do:

Overseeing daily maintenance, including performance monitoring, deployment of operating system patches and software upgrades, and configuration control of the network technical baseline. Provide assistance to fellow team members and end users in investigation, diagnoses, and problem resolution.

More About the Role:

  • Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains Windows server and systems configurations to ensure their confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Administers server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and performs systems monitoring.
  • Consults on network, application, and customer service issues to support computer systems’ security and sustainability.
  • Responsible for the configuration, integration, configuration control, operations, maintenance, sustainment of IT system resources, hardware, software, peripherals, and data-store assets.
  • Installation and configuration of system fixes, updates, patches, and performance tuning, hardware/software interface and interoperability problem resolution, system security evaluation and remediation, IT device security monitoring, incident reporting, system scanning and security control verification, desktop, server, and peripheral hardware and software customer support, file share access and structure management, complex technical analysis, trouble-shooting, system research, design, implementation, and adaptation of state-of-the-art technology.
  • Leads problem-solving efforts.
  • Responsible for ensuring systems are in compliance with Cyber security regulations.
  • Build, configure, monitor and maintain virtual environments
  • Build, configure, monitor and maintain storage environments
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting VMware vSphere and Storage platforms
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS , Microsoft Exchange
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization as well as perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources
  • Administers server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and performs systems monitoring.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Approximately 7 years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator
  • Demonstrated experience in Systems Center Configuration Management (SCCM) 2012
  • Demonstrated experience working with Tanium in a production environment
  • Demonstrated experience installing, administering and configuring Windows Server 2012 and Windows 7
  • Demonstrated experience using PowerShell for system administration, automation and client configuration
  • Experience with Splunk in a production environment writing queries to investigate security incidents or performance issues
  • Experience managing and configuring virtual environments such as ESXi

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft Infrastructure technologies
  • Experience with McAfee ePO technologies
  • Experience with NetApp hardware
  • Experience with IC systems accreditation DCID 6/3 and ICD 503 standards
