As a Domino Systems Engineer, be responsible for supporting Lotus Notes/Domino systems by performing server administration, operations, and maintaining an enterprise wide Domino server infrastructure consisting of over 700 Domino servers. Extensive Domino experience is required to perform technical planning and execution of daily tasks, including server consolidation to reduce the server footprint.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Continuously improve the quality of service provided in support of the Domino infrastructure.
Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with software vendors (IBM) in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
Improve engineering efforts for the Windows 2012 upgrade.
Work closely with the Engineering staff lead to implement best Domino engineering practices.
Perform continuous engineering assessments for all operational issues.
Apply superior Domino knowledge on best practices for Domino server consolidation.
Apply engineering techniques to appropriately troubleshoot for error resolution in mail routing, tracing, tracking, and Lotus Notes client interface.
Attend Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) to discuss and agree upon Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs) and ensure MOAs are within the scope of the server team’s charter.
Perform Domino technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting for all supported servers in response to Help Desk tickets, which includes, but are not limited to, the following activities: Server failures and full system outages.
Act as liaison with the Operations team, providing Engineering support to process issues that may arise.
Perform operating system software updates and upgrades.
Respond to ESMT requests from service providers.
Coordinate Domino server installation and upgrades for Windows 2008R2 and 2012.
Build servers and provide technical configuration, setup, installation services, hardware and coordination for application projects.
Assist in Domino server maintenance and special projects during extended work hours.
Communicate outage/degradation of Domino server to management.
Understand and implement established technical and workflow procedures.
Broad system experience and understanding of supporting elements of the architecture including the operating system and relevant networks.
Domino expertise to upgrade in the current infrastructure
Excellent verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of the ESMT ticketing system
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience and familiarity with Windows 2008 and 2012
Performance testing and tuning
Understanding of Formula language
Knowledge of Amazon Web Service (AWS)
