Under supervision of a Design Engineer: Performs system design, list of material support, and mechanical drawing products required for the design and delivery of electronic security systems. Systems elements include: closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, thermal imagers, command control display equipment (CCDE), access control systems (ACS), ACS personnel enrollment stations, and intrusion detection systems (IDS) used to protect critical assets for our customers in various environments.
This position requires up to 100% travel.
What you'll get to do:
Support the development of designs and complete engineering drawings for electronic security systems (ESS) to include CCDE, IDS, ACS, CCTV, supporting communications and power networks, and ancillary equipment.
Coordinate ESS product evaluations, selections, and development of BOM and provide support to the material procurement process.
Support the development and submission of contract design CDRLs.
Support site surveys to assess customer requirements and develop conceptual design for proposals.
Technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter curriculum. 2+ years of design experience.
Strong working knowledge of CAD Standard Center R4.0 Direct experience with AutoCAD in a low voltage system design role.
Possess good working knowledge with CAD drawings as related to layer management and usage, drawing scales, plotting and plot scales.
Ability to read schematics and technical documentation to ensure all equipment meets the latest OEM release/revision level.
Must possess a current Secret DOD Security clearance.
Basic understanding of USAF Security Forces guidelines and regulations (AFI 31-101 and ESS Equipment Siting Guide).
Certifications in annunciator systems such as Honeywell Vindicator, WillBurt Predator Elite, Advantor, Hirsch, AMAG, Lenel, and Software House. Proficient with MS Office Suite, including MS Project.
