As the Network Engineer, you will provide support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders. You will also provide in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives for government agencies in support of their strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large scale telecommunication infrastructures.

Your responsibilities may include:
Provide interface support to telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management. Analyze functional business requirements and design specifications.
Provide identification of solutions and requirements by applying design/implementation of new systems and enhancements of existing systems.
Participate in analysis, design and new construction of all IT systems.
Responsible for understanding the needs of the customers and the realities, capabilities, installation, operation, and maintenance of commercially available hardware and software products.
Responsible for the implementation of COTS products in collaboration with engineering and implementation teams through CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Provide guidance and training on system integration and operation.
Provide support to the ISSO to include the receipt, custody, issue, safeguard, accounting for and when necessary, destruction of COMSEC material.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in and understanding of the following:
Engineering, installation, configuration, and operation of IP platforms.
Experience in one or more areas outside of engineering including telecommunications concepts, computer languages, operating systems, cryptographic equipment operation and keying, microwave/RF engineering, and network communications and have a working knowledge of general networking theory to assist in how crypto’s fit into the architecture, troubleshooting, etc.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, providing guidance to team members as necessary
Must have current TS/SCI with Poly
Bachelors degree or equivalent and minimum of 5 years network engineering experience
