Support software development and operations by administering and maintaining virtual server environments. This position requires hands-on, technical work with some design/coding experience. You will provision, configure and tune enterprise systems. You will perform monitoring for security, stability and availability. You will work closely with the other system teams to perform patch management, testing, troubleshooting and optimization activities. Lastly, work as a team to create and maintain systems documentation and design artifacts.
SECRET Clearance must be current
Bachelor’s degree from a U. S. Department of Education accredited college or university or possess current and relevant certifications (ex. VCP, RHEL, Microsoft)
DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification or higher (ex. CompTIA Security+, CASP, CISSP)
5+ years experience with VMWare products.
Demonstrate experience with VMware vSphere 5.x and higher, which includes installing and configuring ESXi 5.x and higher and vCenter 5.x and higher.
Demonstrate work experience or formal education/training in at least one structured or object-oriented programming languages such as C, PASCAL, COBOL, Visual Basic, C++, Java, Python or Perl.
Maintain and support a virtual environment (VMware), which includes creating, configuring, and updating virtual machines.
Create and implement security policies, utilities, and procedures for Windows and virtual environments.
Demonstrate experience with HP StoreVirtual SAN Appliance or VMware's VSA or other network-based storage platforms.
Provide technical expertise with virtual environments and virtual storage.
Provide technical expertise with general Microsoft and Linux operating systems administration.
Demonstrate experience with VMware Powercli.
Demonstrate experience with Microsoft Powershell.
Demonstrate experience with Group Policy management and Windows patching.
Demonstrate the ability to administer and troubleshoot networks.
Demonstrate the ability to maintain and support routers and switches.
Review evidence of remediation of security findings, providing guidance and expertise where necessary.
Demonstrate ability to interpret security policies, procedures, standards, guidelines provided from Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
Ability to compose technical reports, system administration guides, statements of work, management plans and/or related documents.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
