In support of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (OUSDP) you will perform as a program manager who manages a team of professionals involved with Policy Management & Operations services, including analysis and program management, financial/budget services, human capital services, organizational development, travel services, operations management support, administrative support, and other support services, to facilitate operationally sound processes, and meet/exceed Government requirements. You will be involved with services ranging from performing simple transactional activities to managing complex strategic organizational and resource management projects. You will work with all levels of OUSDP management and staff, and other Department of Defense and Executive Branch organizations.
More About the Role:
You will provide the following support:
Manage a small team/staff;
Establish, maintain and update quality control processes for the team and assign appropriate personnel to complete required tasks in a timely fashion;
Assign work effort and manage workloads of personnel assigned to work on the requirement;
Assess Government assignments and determine work priorities for each staff member, including the development of task schedules, based on feedback from Government staff;
Establish clear organizational lines of authority and responsibility with team members and corporate leadership to ensure effective management of personnel assigned to the requirement;
Maintain continuity between the support operations at the Pentagon and the Mark Center and CACI;
Perform administration duties, including maintaining proper and accurate time keeping records of personnel assigned to work on the requirement;
Monitor and Report completion of deliverables of the team to corporate leadership and to Government personnel;
Successfully integrate and coordinate all activities needed to execute the requirement;
Manage the timeliness, completeness, and quality of problem identification and resolution; and
Provide corrective action plans, proposal submittals, timely identification of issues, and effective management of the contract team.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
A minimum of fifteen years of management experience in environments similar to OSD components at the Under-Secretary level, leading and supervising multi-disciplined teams of research analysts and multiple operational departments; and
A Bachelor’s degree in a field directly related to business management, program management, or national security. The requirement that the degree be in a business management, program management, or national security field need not apply if the proposed employee has a Master’s degree in one of those areas (see “Preferred” qualifications).
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Management experience in OSD or Military Service components;
A Master’s degree in a field directly related to business management, program management, or national security; and
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
