What You’ll Get to Do:  
 

GEOINT Services is searching for an energetic and empathetic leader to work with a talented and passionate group of software engineers. In this role you will be part coach, manager, and guide, interacting with both your team and a diverse set of customers on a daily basis. You’ll utilize your strong understanding of software development methodologies such as agile development, lean, XP, and user centered design to deliver mission critical geospatial applications. You’ll enable the team to self-organize, communicate customer priorities, collaborate with customer product managers, and clear roadblocks to success. Your technical background in software development and cloud technologies will allow you to easily move between technical exchange meetings, design discussions, and provide product demonstrations to government leaders. You’ll play a prominent role on a premier program within the Intelligence Community. BIT Systems / DACOHP

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support and lead development and integration efforts across several geospatial software efforts with guidance and/or direct support architecting, coding, testing and doing what is needed to ensure successful deliveries and happy customers
  • Provide technical and career mentorship to skilled team members in all stages of their career.
  • Communicate and coordinate between technical staff, program management and government customers.
  • Occasional travel within the continental US for customer meetings and conferences.
  • Participate (through playing or cheering) in program wide ping-pong tournaments.

Education:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in an engineering, science or mathematics.

Experience:

  • 10 - 15+ years experience in software development with previous leadership success
