In support of the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration (VWC) you will perform as a senior analyst and on-site Program Manager who oversees a team of professionals involved with administrative and operational support services, including content development, marketing, logistics support, video editing support, IT support, and other support services, to facilitate operationally sound processes, and meet/exceed Government requirements. You will be involved with services ranging from performing simple transactional activities to managing complex strategic organizational and resource management projects. You will work with all levels of VWC management and staff, and other Department of Defense and Executive Branch organizations.
More About the Role:
Manage a small team/staff;
Establish, maintain and update quality control processes for the team and assign appropriate personnel to complete required tasks in a timely fashion;
Assign work effort and manage workloads of personnel assigned to work on the requirement;
Assess Government assignments and determine work priorities for each staff member, including the development of task schedules, based on feedback from Government staff;
Establish clear organizational lines of authority and responsibility with team members and corporate leadership to ensure effective management of personnel assigned to the requirement;
Maintain continuity between the support operations at the Government site and the contractor's corporate offices;
Perform administrative duties, including maintaining proper and accurate time keeping records of personnel assigned to work on the requirement;
Monitor and report completion of deliverables of the team to corporate leadership and to Government personnel;
Successfully integrate and coordinate all activities needed to execute the requirement;
Manage the timeliness, completeness, and quality of problem identification and resolution;
Provide corrective action plans, proposal submittals, timely identification of issues, and effective management of the contract team;
Collect, analyze, and prepare and distribute relevant VWC program information, including monthly and year-to-date statistics;
Process requests for information and materials received through the VWC website, e-mails, and telephone interactions;
Respond to the needs of individual Vietnam Veterans and their families to receive recognition and honor for the Veteran’s service;
Respond to the needs of potential and current Commemorative Partners in their recruitment, application processes, event planning, and ongoing communications;
Provide input to the Government on various items, including: website functionality, office operational manuals and instructions, outgoing correspondence, and updates to internal databases;
Organize meetings and coordinate events; and
Participate in monthly ad hoc meetings and briefings with VWC leadership.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques;
Understanding of knowledge management techniques and best practices;
Demonstrated experience with events planning;
Minimum of two (2) years leading teams or projects;
Experience in analytical support to medium scale projects involving strategic planning, process improvement, policy, acquisition, governance, performance, customer support;
Expertise with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills; and
Knowledge of requirements for successful preparation of reports, briefings, memoranda, and presentations.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Basic knowledge of administrative principles, regulations and operating procedures, along with knowledge of standardized DoD administrative practices and procedures.
