Job Description

Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle server database management software version 11g &12c and equivalent products, including Oracle Enterprise Manager. Assist with managing patches and software upgrades and analyze and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures. Monitor and maintain the health of the databases and database server environments and implement or maintain database security, including user management and role management. Perform database tuning and performance monitoring and design, develop, and implement a database. Assist with developing a conceptual data model, logical data model, and physical data model and support application development teams with database queries, troubleshooting, and optimization. Prepare and maintain database documentation and standards and present technical briefings to the client.

Key Role:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle servers
  • Experience with database administration on production servers with server configuration, monitoring, performance tuning and maintenance with outstanding troubleshooting capabilities, oracle replication, backup or recovery, and disaster recovery and planning
  • Experience with operating in traditional and agile project models
  • Experience with batch processes, import, export, backup, database monitoring tools and application support setup of security policies, logical and physical data base modeling with UML and ERWIN tools, analyzing SOPs and operations manuals, capacity planning, and identifying and resolve issues that could impact system performance, reliability and usability proactively
  • Experience with managing, maintaining, patching, upgrading, and ensuring operational continuity of the Oracle (DBMS) and associated components using Oracle products, including Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Recovery Manager, and Oracle RAC implementation
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
     

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with database architecture and implementation in a Cloud environment
  • Ability to comprehend and grasp technical details at a system and component level
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate, and create consensus
  • Oracle Certification, including administration, performance and tuning, or implementation fields
