Job Description

Immediate need for and experienced Project Manager to assist with providing litigation support for the SFF (Securities and Financial Fraud).    
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Has primary responsibility for all support provided to a particular case. 
-Responsible for more than one active case at a time; a caseload of six to ten "moderately active, moderately-sized" cases will be typical, with several of the cases possibly in the discovery and/or document coding stage, one or more cases in trial, several in the deposition preparation/witness binder stage, etc.
-Government's primary point of contact for all support for the case. The Project Manager will have frequent contact with the COR, trial attorneys, client agency staff, and sometimes even opposing counsel. 
-Responsible for planning and managing all support for the case, including monitoring work flow, progress reporting, identifying and assigning staff, budget development and tracking, coordinating technical/data processing support, and obtaining other required resources.
-Performs an active quality assurance role to ensure high quality work delivered on time. 
-Ensures that proper security is maintained overall project materials, in accordance with Department security procedures.
-Coordinates with other Contractor components to deliver project support. 
-When operating out of a Document Center, the Project Manager's work may be subject to coordination or direction by the Lead Project Manager.
 
Required Qualifications:
 -At least four years of progressively more responsible supervisory and management experience on major litigation support projects, including proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys. 
-Demonstrated ability to manage numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously, including technical/data processing support activities. 
-Requires expert knowledge of litigation support; outstanding writing skills; excellent oral communication skills; and excellent management skills. 
-Must be able to anticipate litigation support needs and develop and execute detailed plans for addressing those needs. 
-Requires knowledge of the Government's data processing environment in which the work is to be performed, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, and internet and server-based databases and other applications, such as but not limited to Oracle, Concordance, Summation, and Trial Director/Sanction. 
-Should be an expert user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems. 
-Undergraduate degree required. 
-Law degree, advanced technical certification, or other pertinent graduate degree preferred. Substantial significant experience may in some cases be substituted for degree requirement.
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists higher level program/project manager in directing the project life cycle by assisting in development of comprehensive project plans to include both long and short-range goals and milestones. Identifies, acquires, and utilizes company resources to achieve project objectives. Directs a project team usually within a matrix organization, monitoring and encouraging functional organizations to complete milestones within specific budgets and schedules. May on occasion interface with external customers as well as top management for the purpose of communicating status of project throughout life cycle. May supervise direct reports.
 
RESPONSIBILTIES:
Defines, launches, and drives mission-critical strategic and operational initiatives in core non-technical programs. Creates a method of change management including ownership of a documentation library, communication plans, process training, etc. Matrix manages directors/managers from multiple departments to accomplish interdepartmental initiatives. Clearly documents and presents findings including creation of diagrams and procedure documentation. Responsible for driving recommendations through to implementation. Communicates effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences. Identifies, analyzes and defines project requirements and scope. Exercises broadly delegated authority for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing many routine and complex projects/programs. Assists with budget, staff, and other resources necessary to accomplish the goals and/or objectives of the program group/function. May develops performance plans and evaluations of employees, including subordinate supervisors as well as reviews evaluations to assure equity of individual employee performance objectives, standards and ratings among lower level staff/groups.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience, including three to five years of supervisory/management experience.
 
-Undergraduate degree required. 
-Law degree, advanced technical certification, or other pertinent graduate degree preferred. Substantial significant experience may in some cases be substituted for degree requirement.
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
