CACI Enterprise IT Operations has an opportunity for a VoIP/Phone Network Engineer to support the performance of a large and complex IT enterprise program.
Responsibilities AND DUTIES:
As the program's VoIP/Phone Engineer some of your duties are as outlined below:
-Under general supervision, you will valuate, design, document, install, implement, test, and perform problem isolation and resolution.
-Monitor, tune, set standards and maintain a range of VoIP/Phone network components and systems.
-Provide client consulting and training on the interfacing and use of the VoIP/Phone network facilities.
-Begin to plan research, evaluate, and recommend new VoIP/Phone network equipment and technologies.
-Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, VoIP/Phone network management, software and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance, and trace data and protocol activity.
-Devise solutions to moderately complex operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment.
-Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot and/or evaluate hardware, software, and other VoIP/Phone network related problems.
-Work in integration of a total VoIP/Phone network including the planning, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination.
-Conduct research and evaluation of products in support of VoIP/Phone network needs.
-Coordinate with all responsible users and sites.
-Help to evaluate vendor products to make recommendations for purchase.
-Participate in providing network design solutions for existing organizational/client needs.
Education and Experience:
-Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related discipline and 2 to 4 years of experience.
- IT ticket management system experience; preferably with ServiceNow.
- Experience with large scale enterprise IT contracts.
- CompTIA Security + certified
- ServiceNow certification
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP): Collaboration certification
- Experience with IT customers within the Department of Defense
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
