CACI has an immediate opening for a Systems Administrator 2 to work in our Norfolk office, with up to 25% travel. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Fleet Support Helpdesk to include the testing, training, fielding and maintenance of the Navy's Theater Medical Information Program (TMIP) application suite to Navy Afloat and non-Afloat platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include providing a wide range of Tier 1 and 2 services in support of Navy patient management related software, ensuring the software satisfies the functional requirements of Navy publications and other government directives pertaining to patient management.
Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves issues with TMIP application suite including user systems, servers and network connectivity.
Instructs platform systems administrators in the care and continuity of operations plans in support of database integrity and application functionality.
Responsible for resolving software infrastructure issues related to TMIP application utilizing systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of software or system functional specifications.
Supports and communicates application security patches and database upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment.
Prepare daily and trip reports describing tasks assigned/accomplished and make recommendations on training needs, attendance requirements, and resources necessary for developing and conducting medical related training courses.
Assist with technical input to installation guides, how-to's, and engineering documents.
Understand and navigate Host Based Security Systems | Host Intrusion Protection Systems.
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience related to Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements and/or Training.
Proficient with Windows 7, Windows 10 SHB and Windows Server 2003/2008/2012.
Familiarization with Navy Shipboard environments to include CANES and ISNS.
The ability to work independently and without constant supervision.

Excellent organization and communication skills.
Must have a current Information Assurance (IA) Technical Level II (i.e. GSEC, Security+, SCNP, SSCP) certification
IAW DoD 8570 series Information Assurance Training and completed a Windows 7, Windows 10, Server 2003, Server 2008 certification course.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) would be viewed as beneficial.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies and products such as VMWare, and remote administration tools.
Experience with scripting and database queries.
Experience working with Remedy (ITSM) 9
Experience using and/or installing the TMIP software suite.
Experience working in naval shipboard environments.
