What You’ll Get to Do: In this job, you will have the opportunity to apply and grow your abilities in advanced mathematics and physics within a multidisciplinary laboratory and software testing environment. This job will appeal particularly to candidates in the earlier stages of their software engineering careers, as it will entail a substantial amount of independence, while relying on healthy feedback and guidance from supervisors, as well as constructive interaction and collaboration among co-workers and customers.
More About the Role:
Providing assistance within an unclassified computer testing laboratory that involves such activities as hardware configuration and cabling;
Developing and writing software code that interacts with test equipment over the system VLAN in the unclassified lab environment, the purpose of which is to create an automated testing capability to substantially reduce the number of labor hours and human error that accompanies current manual testing procedures.
Researching and devising appropriate performance measures, based on data derived via equipment testing efforts, to compare testing results with specification requirements in order to determine/validate compliance with established mission parameters. Examples of testing/compliance areas include amplitude direction finding system data and precision direction finding data.
Downloading and organizing bulk test data in order to develop and provide a detailed summary of test results. In addition, evaluating the accuracy of associated algorithms (for example, polynomial interpolations).
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
US DOD TS CLEARANCE, SSBI/SBPR/PPR (within 5 years) with ability to obtain SCI required accesses.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience (experience substitutions authorized).
Experience in synchronizing multiple subsystems, integration and testing.
Experience in minimum of one of the following computer programming languages: C, C++, C#, Objective C, Python, PHP, Java, Java Script, and SQL.
Proficient in the following software packages: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, and others
Knowledgeable in the methods of data analysis, statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, instrument calibration and measurement. Has related experience in designing and testing.
