Job Description

CACI is seeking a dynamic individual to provide expertise as a Web Application Developer to develop new applications to support the Contingency Materiel Management Application requirements.  These systems will be integrated within the existing AFMOA website data definition libraries, security infrastructure, navigation structure, database structure, and design methodology.


  • Will assist in the update and transition of legacy applications, making modifications where necessary. 
  • Will be responsible for integrating new functional design capability of Readiness Support Branch web applications into the existing data definition library while minimizing the downtime of the applications. 
  • Rules and common practices will also be defined for creating and modifying tables for controlling what data is stored in which tables. 
  • Responsible for integrating new functional design capability into the existing, role based security framework to support the defined privileges and roles. 
  • Access security shall be based on a combination of network and application security ensuring that the functional capability is seamlessly integrated and implemented. 
  • Integrate new functional design capability into the existing website navigation structure. 
  • Navigation maps and an action plan will be used to outline the structure and goal of the project, showing connections and relationships from one page to others.  
  • Elements such as styles (e.g., buttons, bars, plain text links, animated graphics, etc.), colors, alignment, repetition, consistency, and primary and secondary navigation will also be defined. 
  • Responsible for integrating new functional design into an existing design methodology and framework to ensure quality and adherence to timelines. 
  • A Simulation and Documentation Plan will be drafted prior to the finalization/upload of written code.  The plan will be submitted to the Program Manager (PM)/COR within two (2) weeks after receiving the requirements document, developed by the Government Functional Analyst.  The plan will include, but not be limited to; prototypes of the screen, navigation and functionality.   

Additional Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas such as finance, accounting, personnel, manpower, logistics, and contracts. 
  • Develop block diagrams and logic flow charts. 
  • Translate detailed design into computer software. 
  • Test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product.
  • Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. 
  • Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
  • Provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met. 
  • Experience in information system design, including application programming on large-scale DBMS and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S) in computer Science or Information Systems
  • Five (5) years of programming experience
  • Two (2) years of experience programming in Java Script Application Framework (Ext JS), ColdFusion (CF), Extensible Markup Language (XML), Structured Query Language (SQL), Hypertext Transfer Protocol over Secure Socket (HTTPS) , CF components and Object-oriented design
  • Two (2) years of application experience with security (roles, authentication), user-defined functions, structured reporting, rich and dynamic form generation model-view controller (MVC) and web services
  • Must hold an NACI (National Agency Check with Inquiries) or higher

Desired skills and experience:

  • Cybersecurity certification in Security+CE or equivalent (ability to meet DoD 8570 requirements for IAT I designation)   
  • Ability to achieve NACLC (T3) background clearance
