Job Description

CACI Technologies in Rome, NY is seeking internship/co-op candidates who are interested in building interactive web applications.   You will be working with our UI/UX designers to build web-based data visualization software and productivity tools supporting the United States military.

Successful candidates will have a knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with Node.js is a plus, as is familiarity with SVG, Canvas, WebGL and other web based graphics programming. Our customer is a research and development organization, so we adopt new technologies swiftly and prefer candidates who have a strong interest in learning new technologies often.

This is a short-term assignment (ten weeks).

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with web platform technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and the latest web standards.
  • Comfortable working with a wide variety of libraries and frameworks or in some cases none at all.
  • Proficiency using desktop operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
  • Desire to learn on the job.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Available to work in-person at our facilities in Rome, NY
  • Able to work in an office environment, including using computers for long periods of time and communicating with others face-to-face, by telephone, or email.
  • Current college student, either graduate or undergraduate

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with server-side platforms like Node.js.
  • Experience with server-side frameworks like Express.js.
  • Experience with building single page apps using progressive enhancement.
  • Experience with SVG, Canvas, WebGL and other web based graphics programming environments.
  • Experience with automated UI testing and automated unit testing tools like Mocha and Selenium.
  • Experience with source code management systems, particularly Git.
